We’re Sorry about the Downtime

Update: we have restored all services, and re-enabled log in. Please be gentle!

We are very sorry that we have had some down time today. Fortunately it’s not something that we have to report very often, and strive never to have to report. It seems someone has taken a dislike to the way we help affiliates make a living, and attacked our data base in a way so that it couldn’t be used for the operating of ECU.

No data was lost, but it did mean units were not displayed for a period today. This did create a few issues for some of you, which we’re sorry about.

We try to protect our service as best as we can, and do on the whole manage it fine, however this attack did find a way, and left us stumped for longer than we’d have liked.

We have now managed to get all units back on your sites, working as they should. We have not re-opened the front of site as yet, this is something we would like to do by close of play tomorrow, having made sure that everything is A-OK.

We are sorry again for this, but unfortunately it has been out of our hands.

So this was a deliberate attack? Do you know who is behind it?

Good to see our units are being served again and hope that the administration side comes back soon.

    Thanks for the update

Thankyou for letting us know and for getting the units back up. I was wondering all yesterday whether it was maintenance or a bigger problem like this.

    Oh and for Jon Cook:
I clicked on the link to your name, some interesting reading on your blog :)
